Robertson advances to Players Championship last eight
Neil Robertson beat Kyren Wilson 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the Players Championship in Wolverhampton.
A high-quality match saw Robertson make breaks of 114, 94 and 100 and he will play the winner of Tuesday's clash between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump.
Robertson, who beat O'Sullivan in the quarter-finals of the Masters last month, knocked in 114 in the opening frame and went into the interval 3-1 ahead after taking a scrappy and lengthy fourth frame 60-58.
Wilson won the next frame and then reeled off a break of 87 to level the match again.
Robertson's break of 94 edged him in front again but Wilson continued to hang in there and made it 4-4 with a tournament-high break of 141.
However, Robertson moved one frame from victory with a 100 break and took advantage of a missed red from Wilson to clinch the match.
Monday's other match saw Mark Williams come from behind to beat Gary Wilson 6-3.
