Robert Lewandowski is the best solution to Thomas Tuchel's Romelu Lukaku problem at Chelsea

Despite Havertz scoring some important goals for the Blues, most notably in the 2021 Champions League final, it’s imperative that Chelsea find another traditional striker if they are to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.

Tuchel has urged Chelsea to move for Robert Lewandowski despite his interest in a move to Barcelona. The facts are that the Catalans are in a difficult financial situation and Chelsea could capitalise. Having their third bid rejected by Bayern Munich, it’s more than enough to continue the pursuit for the Poland international.

Chelsea have nothing to lose in trying for Robert Lewandowski. He is set on the decision to leave the German giants. It would be a dream scenario to replace Lukaku with a player of Lewandowski's calibre. The 33-year-old is ageing like fine wine in the beautiful game, and whilst he might not be a long-term solution, he would be the best solution.

It has been reported by multiple outlets that Robert Lewandowski has no desire to return to pre-season training with Bayern Munich. It has also been suggested by his former agent that he could even be willing to go on strike in order to force a move to Barcelona. As dedicated as the 33-year-old is to Barcelona, it could be out of his hands as Bayern want a deal worth more than €50million.
