Chris Sutton and Paul Merson believe Manchester United's luck will run out against Chelsea.

United make the trip to Stamford Bridge looking to return to winning ways after drawing with Brentford in their last outing. Erik ten Hag's side went into the March international break buoyant after their dramatic FA Cup win over rivals Liverpool.

They sit nine points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are fifth, in the battle for European football. United have a FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City on the horizon but face an uphill task in overcoming the 11-point deficit to catch Aston Villa in the final Champions League place.

United last won at Stamford Bridge in 2020 when they ran out 2-0 winners over Chelsea, the Londoners haven't claimed a triumph in the league since 2017 - under Antonio Conte - with Alvaro Morata scoring the decisive goal in that contest.

However, Merson and Sutton both agree that their seven-year Premier League run will come to an end on Thursday.
