RFL investigating fiery Championship game as both clubs make serious accusations against rival players
The Rugby Football League is looking into various issues following events during last Sunday’s stormy Championship game between Barrow Raiders and Batley Bulldogs.
Raiders centre Hakim Miloudi is facing a ban of at least eight games after being charged for multiple offences by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel after being sent off during his side’s 30-18 defeat. Earlier this week, Miloudi was charged following a meeting of the Match Review Panel with making contact with an opponent off the ball, and moving an injured player. The two incidents combined as a single Grade F charge means he will be required to appear at an Operational Rules Tribunal hearing next Tuesday.
Separately, the Barrow club submitted an official complaint on Wednesday on behalf of Miloudi and their captain Jarrad Stack, who was sent to the sin bin, alleging that unacceptable language had been directed at Miloudi during the match and then again following the incident that led to his dismissal. These allegations will also be investigated by the RFL’s Compliance Department.

Batley, meanwhile, have “firmly denied” allegations that one of their representatives used unacceptable language towards Miloudi. The Bulldogs have also made two complaints of their own to the RFL though these complaints were lodged after the match review process on Thursday.
A Batley statement read: “We have today been advised by the RFL of an allegation of unacceptable language in the game at Barrow relating to their player Hakim Miloudi who was sent off in the match and faces a potential lengthy ban.
“We have not had full details of the allegation but can confirm a firm denial. We
