Report: Pelicans, McCollum agree to two-year extension

New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum has agreed on a two-year $64 million extension that will see him remain with the Pelicans through the 2025-26 season, his agent Sam Goldfeder informed ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

McCollum's new deal ties him to the Pelicans for four years and is set to receive $133 million. 

The 31-year-old had a career finish last season in his first season with the Pelicans after being traded from the Portland Trail Blazers - the team he was drafted by in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft. McCollum finished with record highs in points (24.3), assists (5.8) and rebounds (4.5) per game. 

The Canton, Ohio native helped lead the Pelicans to the playoffs where they fell to the Phoenix Suns in the first round.
