Report: Nuggets C Jokic wins MVP for second straight season
Denver Nuggets superstar centre Nikola Jokic has been voted as the NBA's Most Valuable Player for the second straight year, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has been voted the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for a second consecutive season, sources tell ESPN. A formal announcement is expected this week.
The 27-year-old averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists over 74 games with the Nuggets in 2021-22, his fourth year with the Nuggets.
Jokic also won the award last season and has been named an All-Star the past four seasons.
Philadelphia 76ers star centre Joel Embiid was also in contention for the award after averaging 30.6 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists over 68 games this season.
