Report: Jays acquire C Collins from White Sox

The Toronto Blue Jays are acquiring catcher Zack Collins from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for catcher Reese McGuire, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

The Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays are in agreement on a trade that will send catcher Zack Collins to the Blue Jays in exchange for catcher Reese McGuire, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN.

The 27-year-old Collins slashed .210/.330/.338 in 78 games last season for the White Sox, his third season with the organization at the big league level.

The deal ends a nine-year run with the Jays for McGuire, who appeared in 141 games with the team at the MLB level over the previous four seasons. He slashed .253/.310/.343 with one home runs and 10 RBI in 78 games last season.
