Report: Cavs acquiring LeVert from Pacers
The Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly made a splash on the trade market Sunday afternoon, acquiring shooting guard Caris LeVert from the Indiana Pacers, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Going the other way is a package including Ricky Rubio’s expiring contract, a lottery-protected 2022 first-round pick and two second-round picks in 2022 and 2027, according to Wojnarowski. The Cavs are also getting a 2022 second-round pick via the Miami Heat in the deal.
Full trade: Indiana sends Caris LeVert and a 2022 second-round pick via Miami to Cleveland for Ricky Rubio, lottery-protected 2022 first-round pick, 2022 second-round pick via Houston and a 2027 second-round pick via Utah, per sources.
The 27-year-old is averaging 18.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists over 39 games this season with Pacers, his second year with the club.
Cleveland sits at 32-21 and are fourth in the Eastern Conference.
Rubio, a 31-year-old veteran from Spain, averaged 13.1 points, 6.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 2021-22, but will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in late December.
