Red Bull reveal dramatic new look to car as F1 testing gets underway

Formula 1 testing is underway and Red Bull have made some early waves with their new-look car and a dramatic design around their sidepods.

The new season gets underway properly on March 20th with the Bahrain Grand Prix but testing has begun today, with a three-day period in Barcelona followed by another between March 10th and March 12th, with that also in Bahrain.

And, ahead of the first race, the intrigue has been incredible around the new regulations and rules coming into effect, and how each team has interpreted them.

Such is the secrecy teams like to keep around their car designs for 2022, too, we’ve seen several reveal show cars during launch season with their new liveries on a generic 2022 model but, now, with testing underway, we’re getting a better idea of what each team has done ahead of the new campaign.

That in mind, then, Red Bull have wheeled out a totally new-look vehicle compared to the rather standard show car they showed off at the start of the month.

And, that said, it’s the sidepods that are earning the most attention with a very huge undercut being introduced.
