Red Bull Racing Esports reveals driver line-up for F1 Esports Series

Two-time Formula 1 Esports Series Pro Championship teams’ champions Red Bull Racing Esports has unveiled an unchanged driver line-up for the upcoming F1 series with Frede Rasmussen and Marcel Kiefer at the wheel.

Frede Rasmussen, who is fresh from winning Formula E Accelerate, said: “In F1 Esports, driving talent is key as the cars are all equal, meaning the races are much closer than in real life. One small mistake can be the difference between a podium and being out the points so the pressure is immense, quite often two seconds can separate the entire grid. As always, I will be pushing to win both the drivers and team titles. Preparations for the tournament have been going well, we are still looking to find our pace but I am confident we will get there.”

Marcel Kiefer achieved seven top three finishes in 12 races last year, and had this to say: “I want to win both titles, drivers and constructors. This year the cars produce more downforce in accordance with the new regulations so the setups changed quite drastically – it feels a bit more understeery but I’m getting up to grips with the new handling more and more. If there is something to win, I want to win it and the team and I will do anything possible to bring back home what we deserve. We’ve practiced a lot and I am feeling confident. We certainly don’t lack the talent, so we have got to make sure we prepare correctly and control what we can control.”
