Red Bull BMX competition will bring tricks 'never seen before' to Manchester
An exciting new BMX competition organised by Red Bull is coming to Manchester next year.
The event will see 16 of the world’s most innovative riders compete in a first-of-its-kind format with a custom-built park at the Manchester Central Convention Complex. Created by BMX legend and Red Bull athlete Sebastian Keep, rules of the competition mean riders won't be penalised for falling, giving them a platform to try perform tricks that have never been seen before.
Speaking about the unique rule, Sebastian said: “By stripping away the red tape, rules and limits typical of current competition formats, we want to deliver an event which inspires riders to push the boundaries, break new ground and innovate free of any restrictions or conventions.

"By not penalising riders for falls, at Red Bull Featured, we want every crash to be a step towards a world first, not a failure."
The competition consists of four individual features, all bigger and bolder than ever seen in a competitive setting. These include High Air, Sub Box, Quarter Pipe and Jump Box. Each feature will be independent and judged by four of the most esteemed in the industry, including Olympic Gold medallist Charlotte Worthington MBE, Olympic Bronze medallist Declan Brooks and recent Olympic Games head judge, David Cleworth.
Kieran Reilly, one of the most exciting young talents in the BMX world who is confirmed to be competing in the event, added: "“I’m excited to be involved in the first ever Red Bull Featured. Every time I ride, I’m trying to progress, develop and test the limit of what’s possible.
