La Liga leaders Real Madrid welcome a resurgent Barcelona to the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday evening.

Xavi Hernandez has already overseen an impressive rebuild of the side Ronald Koeman left in utter disarray earlier this season but tasted defeat in his first El Clasico of his managerial career.

Carlo Ancelotti is currently on course to become the first manager to win all five of the top European leagues and a win over Madrid’s great rivals would all-but end the title race. Sevilla are currently ten points behind and a victory against a Barca side in brilliant form would be quite the statement.

Barca, however, could still feasibly finish second this season, which would be quite the achievement given the relatively low base from which Xavi started.
