Real Madrid have one 'doubt' for Man City return leg as major Jude Bellingham concern raised

Carlo Ancelotti has a plan for replacing the suspended Aurelien Tchouameni when Real Madrid travel to Manchester City next week, but he still has to pick between two alternative defenders.

Real went into the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against City last night with four key players at risk of suspension should they receive a yellow card, and got off to the worst start possible as Tchouameni hacked down Jack Grealish in the first minute to earn a booking and rule himself out of the second leg. To make matters worse, Bernardo Silva scored the resulting free-kick, as the first of six goals in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Tchouameni, playing at centre-back, will miss next Wednesday's clash at the Etihad, but Real were able to navigate the rest of the game without Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham earning yellow cards, so they are available.

And Ancelotti knows he will pick between one of Eder Militao or Nacho - but he is yet to decide on which one. "We have the option of Nacho, of whom we always have confidence, and Militao," he said.

In his post-match press conference, Ancelotti described the selection dilemma as his only 'doubt' for the second leg, saying: "We are going to replace Tchouameni with Nacho or Militao. That is the doubt. We have to evaluate what has happened, but we have to continue in this line, play face to face like we did today and see what happens."
