Real Madrid could see Casemiro leave with big offer as Chelsea join Man Utd in pursuit

Chelsea are keen on Real Madrid star Casemiro per reports, and they could snatch him from the Spanish side with a big offer.

Chelsea have made solid additions to their squad during the summer transfer window. Raheem Sterling and Marc Cucurella, among others, seem like top signings.

The Blues are continuing to look for players that could bolster their squad further.

Indeed, they would no doubt like to improve on their third-placed finish from last season. They currently sit seventh in the league, after two games.

They are targeting a big name to help them ascend the table, too. 90min reports that they have their sights set on Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro.

Manchester United have also recently registered an apparent interest in the Brazilian. However, the report suggests that Chelsea have been looking at the star for a longer period.

Either way, there may be a battle between the two sides regarding where the player ends up, if he does move on from Real.

Of course, Carlo Ancelotti will not want to see one of his most crucial assets leave.

Despite that, Chelsea could prise the midfielder away from Real. Indeed, the report suggests that an offer over £51million could force Los Blancos’ hand.

Chelsea are no strangers to paying a sum in that region, having spent more than that on eight occasions, including once already this window.

Should they land him, Casemiro would be a great addition to the Chelsea side. While their defensive-midfield options are good, both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are out of contract next season, and could move on.

As such, Casemiro could fill the void that they may potentially leave.
