Ravens WR Zay Flowers day-to-day after quad contusion - ESPN

OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers is considered day-to-day with a left quad contusion after he collided with a teammate Saturday, Baltimore Ravens coach Jesse Minter said after practice.

Flowers' injury caused a scare at Ravens training camp, just three days after he signed a four-year, $140 million contract extension.

«Thankfully, I think he'll be OK in the long term,» Minter said.

Midway through practice, Flowers was running over the middle of the field to catch a pass during a 7-on-7 drill when safety Jaylinn Hawkins banged legs with Baltimore's No. 1 wide receiver. Flowers immediately fell to the ground and held the upper part of his left leg while being in visible pain.

After struggling to get up and walk, Flowers was examined for about 10 minutes by a trainer, who flexed his left leg. Quarterback Lamar Jackson, running back Derrick Henry and general manager Eric DeCosta all came over to talk to Flowers while he was being looked at by the trainer.

Flowers then limped off the field.

«You certainly don't like to see that and don't want to see that,» Minter said. «You kind of hope for the best. That's the reality of it.»

Flowers has become Jackson's most trusted wide receiver and the centerpiece of Baltimore's passing attack. His 1,211 receiving yards last season accounted for 36.9% of the Ravens' total receiving yards, which was the second-highest share by any player in 2025 behind Seattle's Jaxon Smith-Njigba (44.1%).
