Rating Man United's summer signings including Antony, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez

After a slow start that got fans panicking, Manchester United turned things around in the summer transfer window and signed six players.

The extra investment was undoubtedly needed after Erik ten Hag's terrible start to life at United, in which he saw his side defeated by Brighton and then destroyed by Brentford. It was obvious that more signings would be needed alongside Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez.

The new manager got his wish as Casemiro was brought in from Real Madrid and the club finally managed to break Ajax's resolve and sign Antony. With a back-up goalkeeper in Martin Dubravka also arriving, it ended up being a successful window. Here's how all six signings are doing at Old Trafford so far.

Tyrell Malacia

The first signing through the door after a barren June was Malacia. A left-back wasn't initially on Ten Hag's wishlist but when Lyon were closing in on the Dutchman, United moved to hijack the deal. Still, it looked as though Malacia would have some work to do to become first choice and he started the campaign behind Luke Shaw in the pecking order.

However, the opening two defeats spurred Ten Hag to change things and in came Malacia. Since being given his opportunity 23-year-old hasn't put a foot wrong, making United's left side more secure at the back and adding pace going forward. Bukayo Saka gave him some trouble but other than he has helped shore up what was a leaky backline.

Christian Eriksen
