Rasmus Hojlund injury update as Erik ten Hag makes claim about Manchester United’s season

Manchester United picked up three points in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Luton but it wasn't all good news.

The display that accompanied the win was less than convincing while the club could have two new injury setbacks. Christian Eriksen was taken off in the first half with an ankle problem before Rasmus Hojlund picked up a hamstring issue.

Erik ten Hag provided a quick update on both players after the full-time whistle ahead of the international break. He also has made a claim about United’s start to the season, despite the Reds having already suffered five Premier League defeats this term.

United will have to wait 24 hours before they learn the full extent of injuries suffered by Hojlund and Eriksen in victory over Luton.

United's injury woes continued as Danish duo Eriksen and Hojlund were both taken off during their 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Eriksen held his knee when he was replaced by Mason Mount in the closing minutes of the first half, while Hojlund twice went down holding his hamstring before being replaced just over 10 minutes from time.

Erik ten Hag believes United have had a 'very good' start to the new Premier League season considering how many injuries they have suffered.

United have been plagued by a number of setbacks during the current campaign and suffered two more scares when Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund both limped out of the home win over Luton.

United have won seven and lost five matches in the Premier League so far this season but find themselves just three points off the top-four with clear room for improvement.
