Rashford not worth £10m, Ben Foster claims

Former Man United star Ben Foster has hit out at Marcus Rashford and questioned what the future holds for the forward at Old Trafford.
   
Rashford said last week that he is ‘ready for a new challenge’ in a bombshell interview after he was dropped for the Manchester derby by Ruben Amorim.
   
The United boss subsequently left the 27-year-old out of the squad for defeats by Tottenham and Bournemouth, fueling suggestions the forward could move on in January.
 

“Marcus Rashford…” he said on his Cycling GK podcast. “There’s so many people that talk about him that say “on his day, on his day”.
 
“His day is once every 10 games. Genuinely, it’s once every 10 games and you can’t have a luxury player in the modern game that will give you one game out of 10, it’s as simple as that.
 
“Coupled with fact that he gets so much reputation and baggage and everything that comes with it, I don’t think Mikel Arteta wants that anywhere near that Arsenal.
 
“He has to get away from Manchester United. I think it’ll be an MLS (move) or something. It’s going to have to be a massive wage cut. ”
   
Rashford signed a bumper £325,000-a-week contract in the summer of 2023 after a stunning 2022-23 campaign, but he has badly struggled to replicate that form since, scoring just 12 Premier League goals across one-and-a-half seasons.
