Raps' Birch has knee surgery, expected to be ready for camp

Toronto Raptors centre Khem Birch had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Wednesday in Los Angeles and is expected to be ready for training camp in the fall, the team announced.

Khem Birch underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in LA yesterday, per the Raptors. He'll rehab in Toronto over the summer and is expected to be ready for training camp in the fall.

In his first full season for the Raptors, Birch averaged 4.5 points and 4.3 rebounds while averaging 18.0 minutes a night across 55 games.

The Montreal native joined the Raps during the 2020-21 season, appearing in 19 games down the stretch.

Prior to his time in Toronto, the 29-year-old spent four seasons with the Orlando Magic. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Magic in July of 2017.
