Raphinha sends powerful Leeds message on Instagram

Leeds United ace Raphinha has issued a powerful message to the supporters following their latest defeat on the weekend.

Jesse Marsch’s debut as the new Leeds boss ended in defeat as Leicester City edged a narrow 1-0 win on Saturday at the King Power Stadium.

The Brazilian took to Instagram on Saturday following their defeat to the Foxes to provide the Leeds faithful with some encouragement amid their struggles in the top flight.

Raphinha posted an image of himself following the final whistle and captioned the post with: “Believe us, together we are stronger. Come on.”

Defeat at the hands of Brendan Rodgers’ side saw the Whites’ hopes of creating some daylight on the bottom three crushed as their relegation worries continue.

February was a cruel month for the Whites as they conceded the most goals (20) of any Premier League side in a single month in the history of the league.

And the Brazilian was unable to have his usual influence on the Yorkshire side, with just one goal to his name during that time.

In fact, it has actually been a difficult period for the winger since the turn of the year, with his goal against Manchester United his only league goal since the middle of December (via Transfermarkt).

His recent form comes amid speculation over his future at Elland Road ahead of the summer transfer window, with a number of teams said to be interested.

However, there is no time for Marsch’s side to dwell on their struggles as they face an Aston Villa side on Thursday fresh off the back of an impressive win over Southampton on the weekend.
