Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson refuses to be drawn on Steven Davis future

Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson has refused to be drawn on Steven Davis' future at Ibrox.

The Northern Ireland captain could play his final games for the club this week as speculation mounts over the 37-year-old's future in Glasgow.

Rangers take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the Europa League on Wednesday night, and then return to Scotland to face Hearts in the final of the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

Davis, 37, comes out of contract this summer, as do duo Connor Goldson and Allan McGregor whose futures are also up in the air.

Asked whether beatingFrankfurt in Seville would alter Rangers' transfer plans, sporting director Wilson told Sky Sports News: "I think that's a question for those guys.

"Obviously there's some contracts expiring and people will have their own decisions to make on their futures as well.

"What I do know is this group of players are a united bunch, they are together and are immensely looking forward to the challenge that awaits us not only on Wednesday, but of course at Hampden on Saturday as well.

"It's a brilliant week to be a Rangers player and be part of Rangers Football Club, and we know how excited everyone is to be part of the week ahead."
