Rangers: £10.8m star 'would be massive signing' at Ibrox

Rangers could pull off a ‘massive signing’ by sealing Chelsea star Billy Gilmour’s Ibrox return in the summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst was appointed as the Gers’ boss in November and, ahead of his first full season at the helm, the Dutchman could look to take advantage of the upcoming transfer window to bolster his squad.

Gilmour is currently on a season-long loan with Premier League side Norwich City, but it appears a move north of the border could be on the cards.

The report suggests Rangers, along with Fulham and Bournemouth, is a potential destination for the 12-cap Scotland international.

Heading to the Gers would result in Gilmour returning to Ibrox five years after opting to head to Chelsea as a 15-year-old.

It is understood that the Glasgow giants only secured an initial payment of £500,000 for the central midfielder, while he is now valued at £10.8million by Transfermarkt.

“He is a really talented player. Obviously, he’s gone to Norwich this season and it’s been a bit of a mixed season for
