Rangers 1-2 Celtic: Old Firm delayed due to broken glass on the pitch

Celtic took a massive step towards regaining the Scottish Premiership title on Sunday afternoon.

Ange Postecoglou’s side secured a priceless 2-1 victory at the home of fierce rivals Rangers to move six points clear at the top of the table.

First half goals from Tom Rogic and Cameron Carter-Vickers after Aaron Ramsey’s early opener were enough for the three points.

It was a hugely entertaining Old Firm derby, but there were sadly some shocking scenes at Ibrox before the start of the second half.

The restart was delayed due to the fact that fans inside the stadium threw a glass bottle onto the pitch.

Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart alerted officials of the situation, with television cameras zooming in on the dangerous objects present on the pitch.

The start to the second-half at Ibrox was delayed due to a glass bottle being thrown onto the pitch
