Rahmanullah Gurbaz's Instagram Story With 'Mere Ghar Ram Aaye Hain' Song Is Viral

The doors of Ram Temple in Ayodhya opened on Monday following the 'Pran Pratishtha' of the idol in a grand ceremony. To celebrate the occasion, Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz shared an Instagram story on Wednesday. Gurbaz posted a selfie on his Instagram story and embedded the song 'Mere Ghar Ram Aaye Hai', sung by Indian singer Jubin Nautiyal. While his post has gone viral on social media, Gurbaz is not the first non-India cricketer to extend his wishes after the consecration of Ram Temple.

Apart from Gurbaz, former England captain Kevin Pietersen and South Africa all-rounder Keshav Maharaj also extended their good wishes to India and prayed for the peace and harmony in the country.

Australia batter David Warner also shared a special post to mark the occasion. The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony was attended by several current and former Indian cricketers.

The Ram Lalla idol was unveiled at the elaborate 'Pran Pratishtha ceremony', which involved hour-long rituals in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who led the ceremony.

Former India cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Anil Kumble had reached Ayodhya on the eve of the ceremony to attend the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ram Lalla and the grand opening.

Former India captain MS Dhoni did not attend the ceremony despite receiving an invitation earlier this month.

Meanwhile, star India batter Virat Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma were both invited for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya but they ended up not attending.

Kohli also pulled out of the first two Tests against England due to personal reasons.
