Punter wins miracle 12,594/1 bet after predicting Championship results

A punter produced a miracle on Saturday after correctly predicting the results of all 10 games in the Championship.

With odds of 12,594/1, the punter surely thought it was nothing more than a hit and hope when he placed the bet with Ladbrokes.

To make the bet even more incredible, there wasn’t a single draw in the Championship on Saturday. But the punter correctly predicted the winner of all 10 matches.

Their afternoon got off to a pretty comfortable start, with Premier League-bound Fulham cruising to a 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.

One down, nine to go.

The remaining games were all 3pm kick-offs.

Boldly, the fan backed Cardiff City to win at play-off hopefuls QPR and for West Brom to end their woeful run of form by beating Hull.

They were both successful, with the Bluebirds turning around a 1-0 deficit to beat QPR 2-1.

However, the most daring move came by predicting promotion chasers Bournemouth to lose to mid-table Preston.

The Deepdale encounter would prove to be the most stressful.

Preston had to come from behind after Jamal Lowe gave Scott Parker’s side the lead in the 50th minute.

Cameron Archer quickly responded for the hosts with the equaliser four minutes later, but the winner – scored by Emil Riis Jakobsen – would only arrive in the 89th minute.

There was controversy behind Jakobsen’s goal, too. Bournemouth were upset that Preston weren’t penalised for an alleged foul on Philip Billing in the build-up.
