Pundit would be ‘gutted’ if Arsenal beat Tottenham to signing of ‘next-level’ striker Gabriel Jesus

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara admits he would be ‘gutted’ if north London rivals Arsenal beat his old club to the signing of striker Gabriel Jesus.

The Gunners are chasing a striker signing after allowing both Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to leave on free transfers over the last six months.

Arsenal have tied talented forward Eddie Nketiah down to a new deal. However, there is the need to bring in a more experienced frontman and Manchester City’s Jesus fits the bill.

The likes of Alvaro Morata, Gianluca Scamacca and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have all been linked with an Emirates switch. But it’s a deal for Jesus that appears the most likely for Mikel Arteta’s men.

The 25-year-old Brazil international is us for grabs this summer after City made a double striker signing.

Pep Guardiola has added prolific Dortmund forward Erling Haaland and Argentine Julian Alvarez to his squad for next season.
