To take better advantage of PS5’s updated hardware, the new PS5-exclusive headset is claimed to have an increased resolution, a new eye-tracking system, and more. Sony has revealed quite a few details surrounding the upcoming VR console such as the specifications, exclusive games and more.
The original PlayStation VR was released in 2016 for the PS4 system and a lot has changed since then. Sony appears to have learned numerous things and the PSVR 2 looks like a powerful and promising upgrade.

With the new VR console being announced, it’s not surprising that everyone wants to know when will the PSVR2 release. While Sony is being secretive about the hardware’s release, insiders are claiming that PSVR 2 could release as early as Q1 of 2023.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst who also keeps track of the technology industry, in one of their tweets said that the PS VR2 will go into mass production in the second half of this year, with 1.5M units being developed.
