PSG president Al-Khelaifi lost his head after Real Madrid collapse

Paris Saint-Germain suffered a collapse of monumental proportions in their Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening.

PSG were leading 2-0 with 30 minutes of the tie to go. It seemed like the job was done and they had booked their spot in the next round.

But they were left stunned after conceding three goals in 17 minutes. Karim Benzema netted a hat-trick to complete an incredible late comeback and dump PSG out of the competition.

PSG’s president, , was present at the Santiago Bernabeu. And, according to multiple reports, he lost his head in a meltdown after the game.

Per Marca, Al-Khelaifi was extremely animated in the final moments of the match.

Following the final whistle, he stormed down in an attempt to confront the referees. It is understood he was angry about there not being a foul on Gianluigi Donnarumma before Real’s first goal.

Al-Khelaifi got lost and ended up in a room with a Real Madrid delegate, Megía Dávila.

He then found the referee’s room and began banging on the door and making his feelings known.

Marca go on to state that he ‘had to be removed with great difficulty’, with his own bodyguards needing to restrain him and calm him down.

The whole incident was actually caught on camera by a Real Madrid employee. The footage has not been released as of yet.

It is believed PSG’s president was incensed and shouted at the cameraman: “I’m going to kill you”. Leonardo, PSG sporting director, was also angry and demanded that the footage be deleted.
