PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas turns home cinema into shelter for 30 Ukrainians

Keylor Navas has once again proved that he really is a class act.

Back in 2017, the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper and his wife, Andrea Salas, started a charity called the ‘Times of Hope Foundation’, which was created to help provide aid to the most disadvantaged children in his native country, Costa Rica.

Fast-forward to today, and the 35-year-old is continuing to help those in need and has opened his home to provide temporary accommodation to a group of people fleeing the war in Ukraine.

As many thousands of people are being displaced by the ongoing conflict in the country, nations around Europe are welcoming those seeking refuge from the war and are providing them with shelter.

The PSG goalkeeper is one of those helping to provide humanitarian aid to those in need and, as reported by Spanish news outlet SPORT, the Costa Rican international has turned his home cinema into a shelter for 30 Ukrainians.

Navas had reportedly heard about a mission being carried out by the Gypsy Association of the Gracia neighbourhood of Barcelona, who were delivering supplies to Ukraine while also helping people leave the country.

Hearing the work they were doing, the footballer stepped in and welcomed 30 refugees into his Paris home.

“He bought 30 beds that he installed where he has the cinema room,” the Spanish newspaper reported, as translated by Marca.

“His wife made food for them, they gave them clothes and made an evangelist cult since the PSG goalkeeper is also an evangelist.”
