PS Plus: Two games leaving the revamped service

Sony may have revamped its PlayStation Plus offering, splitting it into tiers, and offering players the chance to play retro games, but it still has time limits on a number of games.

There are now three tiers for gamers; they can jump into PS Plus Essential, which is just PS Plus as it always was, and there’s PS Plus Extra and Premium.

Extra adds games that have released on PS4 and PS5 that are downloadable for free, while the Premium tier adds PS3, PS2, PS1, and PSP games too.

Sony has essentially combined PS Now and PS Plus, as the former was previously the only way to stream games previously.

But it also came with the caveat of games rotating in and out of circulation, so sometimes titles would disappear without all that much warning.

And, as Gamerant reports, that is not changing with the new version of the service.

Shadow Warrior 3, for example, is leaving PS Plus Extra from July 5th. The game is a first person shooter that was released in March of this year, and is published by Devolver Digital.

It was a day one PS Now release, but it will now be heading out of the PS Plus catalogue.

Shadow Warrior 3 received a score of 63% on Metacritic, along with a user score of 5.7.

Further to that, Syberia is also set to leave PS Plus.

That will happen on July 19, and the game is an adventure title, with players placed in four different, realistic European environments.

It received very strong reviews after its release way back in 2002, chalking up a Metacritic score of 82 and a user score of 8.5.

There is still time to get the game downloaded and completed, but you’ll be up against the clock if you want to experience it.
