Proteas women to take on Windies, India in tri-series at Buffalo Park

Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Thursday confirmed the fixtures and venue for the Proteas women T20 tri-series between India and West Indies in January.

The tri-series will be held at Buffalo Park from 19 January to 2 February and the three teams will play two T20Is against each other before the tri-series final.

The Proteas will use the tri-series as final preparation for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup set to be hosted in Cape Town, Paarl and Gqeberha from 10-26 February.

"With the eyes of the cricketing world set to converge on South Africa for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, we are pleased to welcome India and the West Indies to our shores as head coach Hilton Moreeng and the team complete their readiness for the global showpiece in February," said CSA Director of Cricket, Enoch Nkwe.

"This will give the Proteas a highly competitive build-up to the ultimate prize of the T20 World Cup."
