Proteas stalwart Rabada ruled out of Ireland T20 series

Proteas quickie Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 international series against Ireland.

Cricket South Africa said in a statement that Rabada was not included in the squad for the two-game series after "a review of his left medial ankle injury".

Rabada will continue medical management and rehabilitation, with his progress to be closely monitored in preparation for the upcoming three-Test series against England later this month.  

The Proteas are on a high after a 2-1 T20 series victory over England.

The two T20s against Ireland will be played on neutral ground in Bristol, England. The first match is on Wednesday (3 August) and the second on Friday (5 August).
