Primoz Roglic wins Paris-Nice despite familiar late wobble as brilliant Simon Yates denied

Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) had Wout van Aert to thank after his Belgian team-mate dragged him to overall victory at Paris-Nice and spared him from another spectacular final-day collapse. Simon Yates (BikeExchange–Jayco) broke clear on the final climb on Stage 8 as he gamely set about wiping out the Slovenian’s 47-second lead, claiming three bonus seconds and opening up a sizable gap.
