"Pretty clear in my mind" - Transfer insider predicts key player "won't be at Leeds next season"

Journalist Dean Jones does not think Raphinha will be at Leeds United next season.

The 25-year-old has been in the headlines after being hooked off at half-time in his side’s 3-0 loss to Everton and continues to be linked with a move away from Elland Road.

Raphinha has arguably been Leeds’ best player this season, currently leading their scoring charts, but that was not enough to stop manager Marcelo Bielsa from taking him off before the second half against Frank Lampard’s team, with the Argentine since confirming it had nothing to do with injury.

“He is not injured. I decided that Daniel James should take over his role on the right and Tyler Roberts take over in the centre,” Bielsa said after the game (via Mail on Sunday).

It is not the first time that Raphinha has been in the headlines this season, as the Brazilian has been linked with several clubs throughout the campaign, including West Ham.

According to The Guardian, the Hammers actually had an approach for him rejected, as well as team-mate Kalvin Phillips.

Speaking about Raphinha following his half-time hook at Goodison, Jones told GIVEMESPORT that he thinks the £36m-rated winger will be off in the summer.

“He was highlighted and it was a tough day for Leeds all round. It’s pretty clear in my mind that Raphinha won’t be at Leeds next season anyway,” the transfer insider said to GMS.

It is debatable. Again, he has probably been Leeds’ top performer this term, coming up with 10 goal contributions in the Premier League so far.

If anyone was going to get the Whites back in the game, it would have likely been him, especially in Patrick Bamford’s absence.
