Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe makes Fulham admission ahead of fixture

Ryan Lowe has done an exceptional job since taking over at Preston before the year began – but today, he has taken to the club’s official website to heap the praise on their opponents Fulham instead, claiming that the side have been ‘outstanding’ this season.

The PNE boss has not been able to take his side into the play-offs himself, although a potential tilt at the top six seemed likely at one point.

Instead, he may have to be forced to settle for a potential top half finish instead. Fulham on the other hand have been good value for money and have fought to get to the top of the table with goals, attacking verve and solidity throughout their team.

They could finally secure passage back into the Premier League in midweek, if the side can overcome PNE in their clash on Tuesday night. Ryan Lowe’s team may not have a whole lot left to play for but they certainly won’t want to simply be brushed over by their opponents though.

The former Plymouth man has admitted that Fulham have been good this season and that he will congratulate them if they do end up seeing off his side in the match and head back to the top flight.

Speaking about it to the club’s official website, Lowe said: “First and foremost, I’ll be the first one to congratulate them when they do get promoted or when they win the division because they’ve been outstanding I must say that.
