Premier League reveal Blackburn Rovers title-winning film with Alan Shearer and Tim Sherwood
The Premier League has revealed that a special film commemorating Blackburn Rovers' title triumph is coming soon.
Kenny Dalglish's side were crowned league champions in 1995 after a historic season where they toppled Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United. Rovers remain one of only seven teams to have lifted the trophy since 1992.
To commemorate the 30-year anniversary of the Premier League's launch, a special Rovers film has been teased. The promotion video features Alan Shearer and captain Tim Sherwood talking about their memories from that famous season.
Unsurprisingly, Jack Walker features heavily in the promotional video with Shearer and Sherwood speaking fondly about the Rovers legend. No other official details have been revealed but the film is expected to feature plenty of Blackburn icons from the time.
On Tuesday morning, the official Premier League account tweeted: "It would take a special team to topple Sir Alex Ferguson's @ManUtd... And @Rovers were just that. Our #PL30 film on their remarkable #PL title win coming soon."
Shearer was quick to reply, saying: "4 unbelievable years @Rovers. Uncle Jack's Blue & White army #PL30 #kingkenny."
