Premier League records: 10 that can still be broken this season

We’re in the final month of the Premier League season and there’s still so much to play for.

The title race, the fight for European football and the relegation battle are all almost too close to call.

Will Manchester City or Liverpool win the league? Will Tottenham or Arsenal finish in the top-four? Which one of Everton, Burnley or Leeds will be relegated?

But it’s not just league positions left to play for this season. There are still a number of records that can be broken between now and the end of the campaign.

As a result, FourFourTwo have compiled a list of 10 Premier League records that can still be beaten in the final few weeks of the season. If you’re not already invested in the races for the title, the top-four and to avoid the drop maybe you can get excited at the prospect of history being made.

The current record-holders: N/A

Of course, trebles have been won previously but Liverpool would be the first ever side to complete a quadruple. This is the latest in the season that the dream is still alive. They’ve already won the Carabao Cup, have one foot in the Champions League final and are in the FA Cup final against Chelsea. They’re relying on Manchester City to slip up in order to win the title, though.

The current record-holders: Petr Cech, 24

Cech picked up 24 clean sheets during the 2004/05 season, conceding just 15 goals. Liverpool’s Alisson is currently on 20 clean sheets with four matches remaining. If the Reds don’t concede against Tottenham, Aston Villa, Southampton and Wolves, Alisson will equal Cech’s record.
