Premier League pre-season friendlies: Confirmed fixtures for for every club this summer

These days that tends to be more about commercialism with money-making PR trips to America and Asia aplenty, although there are still some commendable last bastions of tradition in England's top tier too.

July 8: FC Nurnburg (A)

A three-match trip to Australia follows where they will run into Leeds and Manchester United, and they round things off with a quick trip to France.

July 20: Brisbane Roar (A)

Brighton have an eclectic pre-season schedule which still has a few gaps to fill in the middle.

They will start with a home fixture against Belgian club Union Saint Gilloise, who are owned by Seagulls chairman Tony Bloom. After that they appear to be sticking to British opposition.

Chelsea have only announced fixtures for their American tour, although there will almost certainly be more fixtures to come.

Crystal Palace are another of the Premier League clubs who have decided to head to the Far East rather than to the US for pre-season.

Their first game is with Liverpool in Thailand* before they continue east to Australia for matches against Manchester United and Leeds.

*What is quite amusing at this point is that the Liverpool and Crystal Palace official websites can't seem to agree on where their match is being held this summer, which could be fun.

At the time of writing, all Fulham have confirmed is that they will be going to Portugal to take part in the Algarve Trophy.

It's part of a pre-season 'tour' of Portugal which also features a game against Estoril.

Leeds are another side off to Australia this summer to take part in the Queensland Champions Cup.

While they are Down Under, they are also planning to meet up with Crystal Palace for a bit of a kick-around too.
