Premier League fixtures simulated — Manchester United and Man City get favourable opening games

The fixture list for the 2022/23 Premier League campaign will be released at 9am on Thursday morning, meaning Manchester City and Manchester United will soon discover their schedules for next term.

The release of the fixtures signals the beginning of the countdown to the start of the new season, which will get under way earlier than usual this year because of the 2022 World Cup taking place in November and December. The Premier League season is scheduled to kick-off over the weekend of August 6th.

Supporters of all 20 clubs will be eagerly awaiting the release of their respective schedules, and will be paying close attention to who their side will be facing on the opening day, Boxing Day and the final day of the campaign, plus any other special dates that pop up throughout the season.

The make-up of Erik ten Hag's first competitive line up will be fascinating.

But until the fixtures are officially released at 9am on Thursday, it remains a secret who will be facing who on the opening day of the campaign, even if a 'leaked' fixture list has emerged online. But given the secrecy levels that surround the fixture lists, those 'leaks' should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Nevertheless, ahead of the official
