Premier League Darts 2025 line-up confirmed with Luke Littler and shock inclusion
The line-up for the 2025 Premier League Darts, featuring eight players, has been confirmed. The 17-week event is scheduled to kick off at The SSE Arena, Belfast on Thursday, February 6 and conclude at The O2, London on Thursday, May 29.
Fresh from his historic World Championship title win, Luke Littler has been included in the Premier League roster. The 17-year-old stormed to victory in the Sid Waddell Trophy at Alexandra Palace on Friday, defeating Michael van Gerwen 7-2. In doing so, Littler bagged £500,000 in prize money and ascended to second place in the PDC Order of Merit.
Also joining the line-up is world no.1 Luke Humphries. Despite a surprise exit in the last 16 at the hands of Peter Wright in the World Championship, 'Cool Hand' maintains his global ranking heading into the Premier League and is considered one of the favourites, having lost to Littler in the 2024 final last May.
Van Gerwen, ranked as the world's third-best player, will once again grace the Premier League stage - marking his 12th consecutive appearance. 'The Green Machine' has clinched the invitational tournament seven times, with his most recent triumph in 2023 after trouncing Gerwyn Price 11-5.
Rob Cross, similar to Humphries, didn't experience the World Championship he would have desired, having been knocked out in the second round by Scott Williams. However, he is part of the Premier League. 'Voltage' ended up sixth last year, with his best performance being in 2019 when he made it to the final only to lose to an unstoppable Van Gerwen 11-5.
After a memorable journey to the semi-final at Ally Pally, Fazakerley-born and crowd favourite Stephen Bunting is ready for his first-ever Premier League appearance. 'The Bullet' had an impressive run
