Premier League big boys 'looking at' Wolves star Max Kilman

Journalist Pete O’Rourke thinks some of the Premier League’s bigger clubs could be looking at Wolves defender Max Kilman ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has impressed this season, so he could very well become an option for teams looking to strengthen at the back before the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

Pretty well. He has been playing regularly under Bruno Lage, starting in over 20 games in all competitions, and is performing.

On WhoScored, Kilman is one of Wolves’ highest-rated players after putting in some excellent displays this term, including in the 3-1 win over Southampton last month.

That day, only Jose Sa (8.6) and Rayan Ait-Nouri (8.4) picked up higher WhoScored match ratings than the English centre-back (8.1).

He was truly dominant in that fixture, winning seven aerial duels, which was the most in the game.

Ruben Neves has been heavily linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, but O’Rourke thinks some big clubs could also come knocking for Kilman once the window is open again.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer insider said: “Left-sided centre-halves are always in demand, so I’m sure some of the bigger boys are looking at Kilman as a potential signing in the summer.”

While there is nothing to suggest that they will move for 6 ft 4 Kilman, Chelsea are one club who are likely to be in the market for a new centre-half in the summer.

They are set to lose Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta on free transfers, with all three players out of contract at the end of the season. As O’Rourke mentioned, Kilman is left footed so could be a natural replacement for Rudiger on the left side of Thomas Tuchel’s back three.
