Premier League and Sky Sports issue Man City vs Liverpool fixture update
Manchester City and Liverpool have been granted permission to play their Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium at the normal kick-off time of 4.30pm.
City were beaten by Liverpool at the start of December at Anfield as Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah condemned Pep Guardiola's men to another defeat - and form has barely improved with the Blues currently with just one win in 11 games in all competitions.
That Anfield clash was brought forward to 4pm under guidance from Merseyside Police, with previous clashes between the two sides attracting trouble inside and outside of the stadium. However, last weekend's derby vs Manchester United was allowed to take place at 4.30pm - the usual Super Sunday kick-off time - by Greater Manchester Police.

City's return fixture with Liverpool had already been confirmed for Sunday February 23, but no kick-off time had been given. Now, City, the Premier League and Sky Sports have confirmed that the showdown will not be moved from the expected 4.30pm slot.
That means City's schedule for February will see them travel to Arsenal on Sunday February 2 at 4.30pm, with a likely FA Cup fourth round tie the following weekend. If City qualify for the Champions League play-off round, which also seems their most likely chance of progression in Europe, they face the first leg on either February 11 or 12, and the Premier League visit of Newcastle will be on Saturday February 15 at 3pm.
