Predict final Premier League results and share European verdict for Manchester United

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has accepted defeat in the quest for Champions League qualification - even though his Manchester United side can still mathematically book their place in the marquee European competition for next season. But will they welcome Erik ten Hag to Old Trafford with a nice surprise?

Defeats against Liverpool and Arsenal mean United are sixth in the Premier League table on 54 points. However, the Gunners (60 points) and Tottenham (58 points) both have a game in hand on United as well as those healthy point-tally advantages.

United resume their revised Europa League charge against Chelsea on Thursday night (7.45pm). That is one of their four remaining fixtures as Brentford, Brighton and Crystal Palace also await between now and the end of the season. But how many more points will United pick up?

Beyond the hastily rearranged game against Chelsea, the Old Trafford giants welcome Brentford to Manchester on Monday, May 2 (8pm) and conclude their campaign with away fixtures at Brighton (Saturday, May 7) and Palace on the final day (Sunday, May 22).
