Postecoglou will bring Celtic to Australia

Ange Postecoglou, Celtic's Australia manager, has said he will bring the Glasgow club Down Under to play in a four-team tournament late this year.

The former Socceroos boss said he was 'super-excited' at the prospect which will reportedly also involve Old Firm rivals Rangers.

The Celtic boss said: "I haven't been home for almost three years by the time this comes around so I'm super-excited.

"The club's obviously been down there a couple of times before and I know just how passionate the Celtic fans are about the football club, so we're looking forward to it."

It has been reported Celtic will face Rangers in Sydney during the tournament, which is timed to take advantage of the break in domestic football caused by the timing of the World Cup in Qatar.

Celtic's team includes Australia's Tom Rogic, though if the Socceroos qualify for Qatar he will not be available for the tournament, which is expected to be in late November.
