Poll Reveals Majority Of Man United Fans Who Want Erik Ten Hag As Next Manager Have NOT Watched Him Coach An Ajax Game

Now, a United fan-led Twitter account took to the social media platform to ask supporters who they would appoint as the club’s next permanent manager.

With four potential candidates named and 21,113 votes cast, Ten Hag won UtdArena’s Twitter poll by a landslide.

Pochettino had to settle for third place after receiving 4.1 per cent of the votes, with United interim manager Ralf Rangnick securing only 3.7 per cent of the vote.

UtdArena followed up with a second Twitter poll asking United fans who had backed Ten Hag in the initial poll how many full Ajax matches they’ve watched this season.

However, the poll revealed that a staggering 66.4 per cent of fans had watched a full match involving Ten Hag’s side, with 18 per cent claiming they watched one to five fixtures.

Only 6.2 per cent suggested they had tuned in for 6-10 full matches that Ajax have played this season, while 9.5 per cent said they’ve seen 11 or more.

Ten Hag, who is under contract with Ajax until 2023, has lifted two Eredivisie titles and two Dutch Cups with his current side.

The United target also led his scintillating Ajax team of the 2018-19 season to the Champions League semi-finals, with their run coming to an end at the hands of Tottenham.
