Police swarmed the streets of Kersal and Lower Broughton on Sunday afternoon, making multiple arrests following reports of anti-social behaviour involving off-road bikes. Greater Manchester Police issued a statement on Sunday night announcing the increase in police activity in the area.

Dog handlers, as well as a Tactical Aid Unit and Traffic Officers worked alongside the Salford North East Neighbourhood team after the force received numerous concerning reports. Multiple people were arrested for various offences including dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of drugs with intent to supply and public order.

The number of arrests made has not yet been confirmed by police, but the force vowed to update local residents with any charges made relating to these incidents in the future.
