Police searching for Cheshire father-and-son missing in Scotland find two bodies

Police searching for a missing father-and-son from Cheshire have found two bodies. Officers had been looking for Tom Parry, 49, and Richie Parry, 12, in Scotland.

They were reported missing in the Glencoe area of the Scottish Highlands. Sadly, two bodies were found in the area yesterday evening (May 29).

Police Scotland says the two bodies are yet to be formally identified. However, Tom and Richie's family has been made aware.

Enquiries are ongoing but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances, Police Scotland says. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

Inspector Craig Johnstone, of Police Scotland, said: “Our thoughts are with all those involved. I would like to thank all emergency services and Mountain Rescue volunteers.”

Tom and Richie had been due to return home on Wednesday after visiting Glen Nevis and Glencoe. Their car was found in the Three Sisters car park, in Glencoe, where they stopped on Tuesday to go hillwalking. Police issued an urgent appeal to find the pair yesterday.
