Police remain stationed outside units for fourth day following 'disturbance' as three arrested

Police remain stationed outside a unit for a fourth day following a 'disturbance' that saw three men arrested. Officers were initially called out to the premises on Monsall Road, north Manchester last Thursday morning (February 23).

Police responded to reports of a disturbance at the units, with a cordon covering the area, which includes numerous business premises, at around 11am last Thursday.

Three men were later arrested at the scene on suspicion of abstracting electricity. They have since been released pending further investigations.

It has been confirmed the scene is likely to remain in place as part of ongoing enquiries and a subsequent search of units at the site. As of Monday afternoon (February 27) numerous police vehicles were seen pictured along Monsall Road with officers present.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “On Thursday 23 February 2023, at around 11am, officers were called to reports of a disturbance at a premises on Monsall Road, Manchester. Officers attended the scene.

"Three men were arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity whom have since been released pending further investigation. There is currently a scene in place and investigations are ongoing.”
