Police issue images of seven Leicester City fans over violent disorder ahead of FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest

Police were called out to a pub in Nottingham following reports that Leicester City football fans were throwing bottles after getting into a dispute with Nottingham Forest supporters. The incident happened on February 6, before the FA Cup clash later that day - and now seven people people would like to trace have been pictured by police.

Nottinghamshire Police launched an investigation into the incident in The Cross Keys Pub, Lace Market, and have now released images of seven men they wish to trace. It happened around 3.15pm, says the force, who are taking the incident "extremely seriously".

Investigator Victoria Batterham, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We would ask that anyone who recognises any of the men pictured please gets in touch with us as soon as possible, as we believe they could have information that could assist our investigation.

Appeal renewed to identify men following fight after Leicester City vs Aston Villa game

“Nottinghamshire Police takes all reports of violence extremely seriously and will never tolerate any incidents of this nature taking place anywhere across our county. It really should go without saying but there is absolutely no excuse for anyone to ever behave in this manner, especially in the middle of the day and in a busy part of the city centre where young children could’ve been present".

Anyone with information that could assist us with the investigation has been asked to get in touch with the force immediately by calling 101, quoting incident 182 of 6 February 2022, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
