Police block road after woman struck by car
Police blocked a road in Wigan on Wednesday morning (September 11) after a woman was struck by a car.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, descended on Church Street in Orrell at around 9.20am to reports of the pedestrian being struck.
Witnesses said she was knocked down close to the Co-op convenience store, with a large emergency services response called to the scene.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the pedestrian, whose age has not been confirmed, was not seriously injured and that nobody has been arrested in connection with the crash.
A force spokesperson said: "We were called at 9.20am to a road traffic collision between vehicle and pedestrian on Church Street, Orrell. There were no serious injuries and no arrests."
The North West Ambulance Service has also been contacted for details.
